Hi, I’m Devon Aragona, and welcome to An Aide-Memorie: a place where I aim to inspire you to stop and remember to think about what truly matters in your life. Through blog posts and musings from my everyday life, I aim to help you look at the little things that, when strung together, creates your life. And maybe by examining these little things, something can be learned, created, changed, or inspired.
l am a graduate from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio. During my time at Findlay, I studied journalism, marketing and western equestrian studies.
I love to write, read, and try new things. I also enjoy dabbling in photography, as you can see on my Through the Lens page.
I have a huge passion for horses. I have been riding since I was eight years old. I still own my first horse, Gal’s Hot Coco, a.k.a Coco. We’ve been through a lot together, and although she is now retired, I still ride her for fun. Something I am even more passionate about is stories.
I believe in the power of stories and the impact that they can have when we tell them.
Everyone has something to say, a lesson they have learned, and dreams that they hope to see come true. I like to share from my book of experiences and the stories that cross my path whenever possible. As with any story, weaving together both visual and text can create the reality of an experience. Sometimes my story is best told with words, other times it is best told with a picture or a quote. However it is told, here is the story of a 20-somthing woman as I navigate the workforce, relationships, what I want out of life, and the world.
“Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”~Ralph Waldo Emerson
